The Small VME System Tower Enclosure is designed to house 6U x 160mm boards. There are 3, 5, 7, 9, and 12 slot versions and the boards may be housed in a vertical orientation. Its convenient tower handle makes this lightweight enclosure ideal for portable applications. This compact enclosure is the smallest in the industry yet it is rugged and tested to exceed industry standards. This fully wired, ready-to-run system incorporates a variety of options and features that provide a wide array of system configurations. It comes with a power supply of up to 500 watts. Power supplies can be panel-mounted for easy servicing and clear access to the backplane. A protective hood can be ordered separately (not available for 3 slot unit).

The protective hood/dust cover can be ordered for the 3, 5, and 7 slot versions. Made of light-grey ABS, it protects the front elements of the Small System when it is carried as a portable unit.
