Convenient, Compact Solution
The NIM-ECL Converter was originally created to solve signal level conversion dilemmas for small data acquisition systems and is now commercially available in a small high-quality unit. The NIM-ECL Converter is a cost-effective solution where only a small number of signals require level translation.

Logic Level Conversion
The NIM-ECL Converter provides 4 channels of conversion from fast NIM level signals to ECL level logic signals.

Electrical Specifications
LEMO receptacles accept NIM-level input signals (50 Ω termination). Minimum pulse width is 3.0 ns. The Propagation delay is less than 2.5 ns. The ECL-level output signal is provided on a recessed header connector.

Power Requirements
The NIM-ECL Converter operates from -6V power (supplied at the from panels of many CAMAC and some NIM bins) at <100 mA. Each unit is provided with 60 cm pigtail leads terminated in phone tip contacts. The Power input is polarity protected. A 9-pin preamp power connector is optional.

Mounting
The NIM-ECL Converter is provided with a self-adhesive Velcro fastener to facilitate convenient mounting.

Warranty
The NIM-ECL Converter carries a two-year limited warranty.
