Kmax 8.1 Toolsheet Technology for the 21st Century |
Daytona Beach, FL– Sparrow would like to announce the next major upgrade to the cross-platform version of Kmax. This latest release of the world's most popular list-mode (multiparameter), data acquisition software runs on Mac OS X 10.4, Windows XP and Linux. Toolsheet and data formats are also cross-platform compatible. Like earlier versions, Kmax 8.1 supports single- and dual-parameter data displays, provides a variety of data formatting options and allows the user to configure external instrumentation from the host computer. With its ability to import and export data; high-level support for CAMAC, GPIB, VME and VXI instrumentation; support for event-by-event data acquisition; and on-line and off-line analysis, Kmax 8.1 is well suited for scientific and engineering data acquisition, instrument control and data analysis. The core environment may be expanded by adding user defined classes, or it may be extended for custom hardware environments by installing user-defined Module Description Resources and driver components. The client/server architecture allows Kmax 8.1 users operating on one computer to connect over a TCP/IP network to hardware attached to another computer. The client and server sides of Kmax 8.1 run on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux systems with server-only versions expected for a number of other popular workstations and real-time systems soon. The release date for Kmax 8.1 is january 15, 2006. If you would like to have information sent to you, send e-mail to info@sparrowcorp.com . SPARROW mailing address:
