The Model 1000 minicrate provides a cost effective solution for small CAMAC based instrument configurations. The minicrate incorporates a high performance switching power supply containing all the standard CAMAC voltages, including the often used ± 12 volt power. To guard against accidental damage to modules, short circuit protection as well as over voltage shutdown circuitry are incorporated in the design of the power supply. The SCH-100 provides two fans for module cooling. In addition, the thermally isolated power supply compartment has its own cooling fan. The enclosure is all aluminum and has a two stage integral RFI line filter, which reduce its susceptibility to conducted as well as radiated noise. Due to the side location of the power supply, the case depth is less than 16 inches.
